Guide: Premium Reflective Decals

Our Premium Reflective options lets you add reflective details to your decals. Available in a selection of colours, it allows you to combine visibility with a customised look.

Before ordering, make sure you understand the difference between the available options and how reflective vinyl differs from our standard materials.

1. Two Types of Colour Options

The customizer includes two types of colour options in the category “Premium Reflective”:

Reflective colours

These options will keep the reflective attribute when illuminated. Choose from the available colours to create fully reflective graphics.

Non-reflective colours

These options include dark printed colours (black/grey), silver and gold. They can be used alongside reflective colours to create contrast and additional design details. If you want your decals to be fully reflective, choose colours from this category only.

However, these colours are printed onto the vinyl in a way that covers its reflective properties. Any areas printed in these colours will not be reflective.

2. How to Order The Most Reflective Decals

If you want a plain white reflective decal without any printed colour, select the colour “Reflective White” in the customizer.

Choosing your finish

We usually recommend choosing the finish that matches the surface it will be applied to. For example: Matte rims = matte finish. However, if you want maximum reflection, go with a gloss finish.

3. Custom Colour Matching

Custom colour matching is not available for reflective decals.

Please choose from the  colour options presented in the product customizer. These are the available options for this material.

4. Installation: Handle with Extra Care

Reflective vinyl is more sensitive than our standard decal materials and requires extra care during installation. These decals do not come with the standard bubble-free adhesive as most of our decals do, so getting air bubbles out once installed is tricky. Make sure to take your time.

Unlike our standard foil that can be repositioned if first applied lightly, these decals shall not be peeled off and repositioned once applied due to risk of visible marks or damage to the vinyl.

For the best result:

  • Make sure the decal is correctly aligned before applying it.
  • Take your time during installation.
  • Handle the material carefully throughout the application process.

Important: Plan the placement carefully before applying the decal. Once the vinyl has been applied, repositioning is not recommended.

5. Removing Reflective Decals

This vinyl is slightly thicker than our standard decal materials. When removing reflective decals, gently warm the vinyl first using a heat gun or hairdryer. This helps soften the adhesive and makes removal easier.

Apply heat carefully and avoid excessive temperatures that could damage the underlying surface. Make sure to grip both the decal and the laminate layer on top, and peel them off by pulling straight up and away from the surface, rather than pulling sideways or at a sharp angle.

Please note: Removing reflective decals may damage the original graphics underneath. This risk should be considered before installation, particularly when applying them over existing factory graphics.
